During April 13 to 15, Prof. Allen Burton from University of Michigan visited PKU on the invitation of Dr. Yong Liu. During his stay, he visited the Peking University Health Science Center, College of Environmental Science and Engineering, College of Urban and Environmental Sciences. He gave two lectures on Linking Water Exposures to Adverse Effects: Weight-of-Evidence Based Approaches Reduce Uncertainty in Ecological and Human Health Assessments; Options for Assessing Ecosystem Quality in Human-Dominated Watersheds: Issues and Examples.

In the afternoon of April 14, Professor Tong Zhu (Dean of College of Environmental Science and Engineering) met with Prof. Burton and had a nice talk on the research fields and the potential cooperation. Then 8 faculties of College of Environmental Science and Engineering met with Prof. Burton. Prof. Burton introduced the general information of Cooperative Institute for Limnology & Ecosystems Research and University of Michigan Water Center. The faculties introduced their studies and had a through discussions. After that, Prof. Burton visited the Environmental Engineering Labs with Dr. Tianhong Li, the Director of Department of Environmental Engineering.
